Letter from MBNA America/ Bank of America?
Just got a letter from NCO Financial Systems on behalf of MBNA America/ Bank of America to collect a debt. And they said that if I don’t respond in 30 days they’ll let it go to a collection agency. Question is: how aggressive is NCO and/ or MBNA and Bank of America? I want to know my options.
Your account is out of MBNA/BOA’s hand now. They referred you to( NCO) collection agency. They already wrote you off. Now you have to deal with collection agency.
Make arrangement with them and start paying your debt. The sooner you do it, the sooner you save interest on the account or perhaps settle with them for an amount that you both agree.
I don’t understand why every time something like this happened, people refer you to lawyers. You just make the lawyers richer because you have to pay them to negotiate for you. Something that you can do yourself. Obviously you didn’t have the money from the beginning and that’s why you let the account goes. Use the money to pay the lawyers paying your debt instead.
I think I should go back to law school and become a lawyer instead of having a master degree in business. Geez!
My friend was in your situation. She let her account went to far until they threatened to sue her. She called the collection agency making payment arrangement. Now she’s almost paying them off.
