What is bill pay and how does it work?
I have a person that owes me money and from another state and
keeps saying that he sent me the money thru bill pay of bank of america, how does that work, is the bank supposed to call me or mail me the check, he says he did this about 2 weeks ago but up to now I still havent gotten anything.
Calling the bank will not help as you are not their customer. The way it works is that the bank will print out a check and send it to you the next business day after the request is made by the customer of the bank or on Tuesday if the request was made over a weekend. If you do not have it now, the person that owes you money needs to see id they made a mistake in the request or they might just be saying “the check is in the mail”. Most of the errors with bill pay have been tracked back to user errors. Only the really big ones you hear about in the newspapers are usually systems related.
