How does using a debit card as credit work?
I’ve been told that I can use my Bank of America Visa Debit Card as a credit card, which is true because I’ve done it before. I’m thinking of buying an Ipod touch online for $275, which I don’t currently have. If I do this will it automatically deduct $275 from my checking account or will I get a few days grace period? (which I need)
Basically, I want to buy it today. I just want to know if I buy it right now, will I go onto my online banking and see a -$275 balance from my checking as if I did a debit or will I have time to pay it like credit?
I get payed on Friday (I could just wait and be 100% sure I have the cash but I’m impatient)
I have bank of america and trust me if you use the card as credit or debit it will come out today. Then you will be charged $30 for an overdraft fee. I would just wait untill friday to buy it. You could also see if you can use paypal and if you can then set up an paypal account with your bank of america account and it wont come out for atleast 3-4 days.
