Can I get a secured card from a bank that I previously had an account with that was discharged in bankruptcy?

My chapter 7 bankruptcy was finalized in May 2006. I had a cc with Bank of America that was discharged. I still have a checking and savings account with them, and would like to reestablish credit by applying for a secured cc. Is BofA likely to turn me down because I had an account discharged with them?

If someone found a legal way to avoid paying you money they owed you, would you lend them more?

Can’t hurt to apply, but I’d bet you’ll need to go with one of the off-lender cards for a first one “back”
