why cant i use my cellphone number for fraud activity calls from my bank – please read for more details?
my bank calls home when “fraud” activity is detected on my card, and i say “fraud” because usually it’s not really fraud, it’s just that i often make large purchases and their system always assumes it’s fraud, i’m thinking of changing the # to my cellphone # so they stop calling my home, i dont live at home so they always call my parents house and it annoys the crap out of them, the bank of america card says to only leave your home phone, why cant i leave my cellphone #?
This is a form of identification. They have caller ID and if the number matches the number on file, then they know it’s you. I have never had a problem using my cell phone number. They just ask some extra security questions, which I’m OK with since it is for my protection. If you don’t have your own land line, then your cell phone is your home phone.
