i think someone might have stolen my identity, what do i do, who do i contact?
i went in to buy a new cell phone yesterday, and they handed me a phone just to answer some security questions about my credit, to verify that i am who i say i am. they asked me questions such as “did you ever buy a car at this honda dearership in ___ va?” or, “did you buy a house in (same location), va?” “did you take out a student loan through bank of america?” there were a whole lot of those questions and i have never done any of those things…i don’t even have a credit card yet!! i have never looked at my credit report either. i’m worried that someone could have stolen my identity, who do i call, what do i do now?
