Which bank?
Wa Mu?
Bank of America? or
Wells Fargo?
or some other bank
I am in 17 and I work part time and I need a bank to stash the checks. Which bank should i go to?
I am at BofA right now but I am switching all of my accounts to Wells (I am recently married and we have more accounts with Wells than at BofA — the switch is really for the convenience).
WaMu has the best deal (no fees), but they don’t have as many locations as BofA or Wells. You can avoid fees at BofA and Wells if you maintain a certain minimum balance, or if you get your checks electronically deposited (at least one/month), or you may qualify for a “student account” (if they still have those — where the fees are eliminated for students). Have fun! This is a great idea and it will help you establish good credit.
