How many bank accounts should I have?
I am 17 years old and currently I have a savings account with Bank of America(my checking account w/ them got closed in January b/c of a overdraft but I just paid it off like 2 weeks ago..), and savings account with Washington Mutual.
I currently have zero money in the BOA account and there are no near WaMus near me at all…so I rely heavily on ATMS that charge fees. I plan to change from WaMu to Suntrust,which is closer to me and has more branches.
But do I need two bank accounts?(Suntrust and BOA???)
Or would it be best for me to have one bank for savings and checking?…
I also have a little piggy bank for idk what…..(should this be used for emergencies or add it to my savings???…)
I feel like I have $ scattered:(
