Banks can do this (credit card)?
I had a credit card with Bank of America, and at first, my payments late, caused my account to become delinquent. But lately, these past few months, I've been making my payments on time, and always at least double the minimum balance. Yes you can, unfortunately. They must follow federal guidelines under the FCRA. Under Article implementation of the reporting period – Section 605 [15 USC ยง 1681c] arrears should be reported for seven years from the month in which the late payment was due. If there are multiple late payments in the point counts, then each expire individually. You can download your own copy of the FCRA in the website I listed in the source area to validate my answer.
